Do you ever wonder if you are a mystic?

Have you had transcendental experiences? Did you feel as though you had lost control over your own body while in them? Did you think that you were not alone, but were being visited by something, or someone, far greater than yourself?

That is where Ann L. Vivian, while in her sixties, found herself when she began to experience visions and other spiritual phenomena. She soon realized that she was being visited by God, or the Sacred, not only in a visual sense, but also in the form of an overwhelming sensation of love (that she calls visitations) and in vocal messages. They were, and are, what she calls:

Visions, Visitations and The Voice.

Frequently associated with the saints of Christianity, and those recognized as the most holy of other religions and beliefs, mysticism is not exclusively for them. Everyday people can have transcendental experiences, also.

However, when Ann sought information on how Western contemporaries (or thereabouts) might be receiving and interpreting similar experiences, she found only those who were affiliated with a religion. Since she is no longer thus, and considers herself to be a spiritual layperson, she saw a gap in the literature.

So that others like her could find a non-religious reference point to their own experiences, this book is meant to fill that void.

It is not a “how-to-achieve-a mystical-state” manual and does not pretend to have all the answers regarding mysticism. It is, instead, an effort to bring comfort and peace to those who are taking a similar journey…or those who are just curious!
